Job Summary: The IT Support Technician is responsible for maintaining computer systems and other technologies in our business settings. Duties include installing hardware and troubleshooting computer issues, responding to IT questions from company employees and updating malware protection devices to prevent viruses or computer hacking. Requirements:
Essential Functions:
· Ensure IT compliance for global infrastructure services.
· Troubleshoot for Windows 2000-11 and have good working knowledge of Office365 Tier 1 Administration (accounts creation, pw resets).
· Good knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies, setting up new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with IT requirements.
· Provide technical support to telephone and email requests from users for all hardware, software, and associated peripherals.
· Install authorized software, ensuring security and upgrades are applied and kept up to date on desktops and laptops.
· Install and configure operating systems and various software packages to agreed standards.
· Creating purchase requisitions for IT hardware/software & procure approved hardware from an agreed list of suppliers.
· Work on your own initiative and have solid problem solving and analytical skills.
· Assist in the compilation of technical documentation, guidelines and procedures and ensure they are recorded correctly. Ensuring all software purchased licensing is recorded and maintained.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Success Factors:
· Strong experience with system security including the management of Certificates, WSE, NTFS, Bit locker, and Share level Permissions.
· Extensive network skills and experience including WINS, FTP, SMB, Workgroups, Domains, Active Directory Forest. Additionally, the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of firewall, switches, and routers.
· Broad understanding of ERP business processes in one or more functional areas (i.e., Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, Order Management, Inventory, etc.).
· Deep understanding of SQL and building SQL queries.
· Ability to work independently with guidance.
· Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
· Desire to learn and grow with the organization.
Minimum Qualifications / Education:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Systems / Networking and Security.
· Experience understanding Cisco/Meraki Switching, VLAN, Routing, Data Backup and Recovery Support, Corporate Antivirus, VPN Connectivity, Server Hardware Technologies (CPU/RAID/SCSI).
· Preferred certification CompTIA Network+, CCNA, Microsoft MCSA.
Computer Skills: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, PHP, SQL, JIRA, Python, HTML/CSS, WordPress, NTFS, ZFS, Active Directory.
Work Environment: Office.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to meet National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) Standards.
