A consumer products company in Long Beach is looking for a Senior Accountant to add to their team due to company growth. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for month-end close, maintaining the general ledger and inventory accounting. What do you need for this Senior Accountant role?

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Must have inventory accounting experience
• Must have strong knowledge of accounting and US GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills

What will you do in this Senior Accountant role?

• Organize and gather data for order to cash from sales and inventory
• Revenue recognition and COGS for month-end close
• Journal entries for inventory, expenses, prepaids, accruals, and fixed assets
• Review gross margin and variance analysis
• Create financial reporting package
• GL account reconciliations
• Prepared sales tax returns
• Monitor and maintain compliance with affiliated organizations
• File business property statements
• Audit schedule preparation
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis
• Analyze and implement process improvement initiatives
