Job Description

TeamBuilders Employment & Business Solutions is recruiting for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join a dynamic business in Fresno, CA.

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for administering and implementing all HR functions such as staffing, benefits administration, compensation, labor relations, training, health and safety programs as well as management of the HR and Payroll teams for a company of approximately 200 union and non-union employees.

Company offers an excellent benefit and salary package of up to $100K yearly, DOE. The Human Resources Manager position is being offered on a full time basis Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and may require some overtime as necessary.

The Essential Responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager:
  • Administration of the hiring process; recruitment, interviews, reference and background checks, employment offers and onboarding for both full-time and temporary employees
  • Conducting employee reviews and compensation
  • Management and processing of all employee disciplinary actions, terminations, promotions, work related injuries, investigations and grievances
  • Implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Benefits Administration; facilitation of open and new benefit enrollment, COBRA and management of documentation
  • Leave of Absence administration; engagement of the interactive process, processing medical benefit invoices, updating and tracking documentation
  • Maintain and update all files and forms relating to personnel such as W4’s, I-9’s, EEO, LOA and Workers’ Compensation, required workplace postings, employee handbook, applications, etc.
  • Planning of all employee appreciation events and functions
  • Consistent review and keeping up to date of employment and labor laws & regulations
  • Collaboration with management and supervisory teams to ensure compliance and guidance of employment and labor laws
  • Additional human resources related duties as required
The Required Skills, Experience and Education of the Human Resources Manager:
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resources handling the duties listed
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
  • A BS Degree is preferred however, a combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Professional communication skills; interpersonal, verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management, analytical and project management skills
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Experienced with ERP, Payroll and other related software programs
  • Efficient multi-tasking skills within a fast-paced work environment with flexibility to effectively manage changes and competing demands
  • Adept at planning, researching and implementing procedures, objectives, strategies and processes
