You will manage construction of multiple projects at the City of Sunnyvale's Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) located in the Silicon Valley, California. The ongoing Projects are part of a series of planned upgrades and expansions at the WPCP, including new Secondary Treatment/Dewatering Facilities and the Rehabilitation of existing facilities over the next 5+ years. Based on Sunnyvale's overall Program, this is a long-term project with potential for growth.

Responsibility Highlights for a Construction Manager with Psomas
- Serving as primary owner representative overseeing, performing, and coordinating daily construction management
- Leading resolution of day-to-day construction issues
- Interacting with clients, designers, owners, contractors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies including leading meetings and generating correspondence
- Directing and supervising field construction activities and contract administration including staff and specialty subconsultants
- Administering construction contracts including review of contractor's schedules, responding to claims received from contractor, documenting progress of project, and answering requests for information, submittals, and change orders
- Monitoring that the project is constructed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, budget, and schedule
- Enabling project success while facilitating the resolution of all project issues in a fair and firm manner
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline
- Active California Professional Engineering (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
- 10+ years of related work experience
- Prefer 5 years of experience in the start-up and testing of wastewater infrastructure
