We are seeking a motivated, collaborative, and professional Senior Staff Accountant to join our team at our fast-paced corporate office located in Altamonte Springs, Florida. This is a deadline-driven position which requires high standards of numeracy coupled with excellent communication skills.

What are my responsibilities as a Wendover Accounting Clerk?
- Oversee 19 properties Financials and AP
- Must have a solid understanding of Financial Reporting, including Annual Reports
- Prepare month-end reconciliations and monthly reporting ensuring that account balances are properly supported and appropriately recorded in accordance with company policies
- Support month end close of the General Ledger and perform variance analysis
- Reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts
- Reconcile prepaid expenses
- Reconcile Company credit cards
- Prepare/post monthly journal entries as part of monthly and quarterly close
- Section 42 accounting experience a plus
- Review and monitor invoices, check requests, expense reports, and other tasks related to maintaining the accounts payable for the company, including annual reporting for 1099s, weekly reconciliation and year-end schedules
- Troubleshoot all accounting and tax issues
- Identify and research invoice discrepancies
- Train as back up for monthly closing procedures, run required reports, identify any issues or discrepancies and work with the Controller to resolve them
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles (accounts payable/receivable and/or general bookkeeping)
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and vendor service/support
- Skilled and proficient with basic desktop office software, to include MS Word and Excel
- Essential organizational, verbal and written communication skills are a must
- Ability to follow detailed instructions with minimal oversight
- Ability to build and foster effective business relationships with customers, vendors, and other departments within and across the organization
- Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work
- Ability to work irregular hours during peak times such as month-end, year-end, audits, etc.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining open communication with other team members and management
- Must be extremely well organized, and able to work under pressure, attentive to details
- Experience with accounting working with multiple Companies
- Air-conditioned office, well-lit and well-ventilated. High level of confidentiality (confidential information with regards to financial documents during the budget process, in-coming mail, e-mail, telephone calls, vendor contracts and lender/owner information)
- This is a full-time position and may require more than 40 hours to perform duties and may include after hours
- General office equipment use will include, but not be limited to copier, scanner, fax, computer
- Physical demands will require but not be limited to the mobility to effectively work in a standard office environmen
