We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Shared Services Accounting team in support of the Commnet Broadband business unit. The right fit for this role will possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, exceptional communication skills at all levels of business, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be viewed as a strong team player, a person who generates ideas to solve problems and has a high ‘customer service’ approach to their work. This position is eligible for our hybrid work schedule.

We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Shared Services Accounting team in support of the Commnet Broadband business unit. Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to)
- Ownership of roaming revenue including monthly JEs, account analysis and supplemental reporting
- Ensure roaming contract changes are properly reflected in a timely manner in the accounting system
- Coordinate with Collections and Roaming departments to ensure roaming AR customer balances are current
- Manage revenue partnership files and ensure quarterly distributions are provided to AP by contracted due date
- Complete monthly and quarterly analysis of Commnet subsidiary financials as well as individual account analysis
- Complete monthly consolidation files for financial statements
- Prepare quarterly AR analysis for ATN (parent company)
- Book all monthly payroll entries and calculate bonus and third period payroll accruals
- Provide support for annual year end tax reporting and quarterly audit requirements
- Prepare and post accurate journal entries in accordance with an established schedule
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate financials and assists with the preparation of quarterly flux analysis
- Identify and resolve issues found throughout the account reconciliation process and other general issue that may arise
- Ability to organize monthly tasks and complete them within a preset timeline
- Communicate effectively with management on meeting project deadlines
- Ability to identify issues and independently seek solutions for presentation to management
- Maintain internal records in compliance with Company policy
- Prepare and update process documentation and controls
- Train and mentor staff accountants
- Interact with all levels of business and provide a timely follow up
- Assists with other projects as assigned
- 3+ years experience in accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
- Proficient in use of advanced Excel, including use of pivot tables and lookups, and other Microsoft Office products
- Exceptional communications skills (written and verbal)
- CPA or Masters is a plus
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
- Experience with internal and external audits is preferred
- Experience with multi-subsidiary and intercompany accounting is a plus
- Prior experience working with a public company is a plus
