CNC Machining/Programming Operator
Position Summary
The Machining/Programming Operator will oversee the daily production and operations of assigned jobs including production planning, tool selection, knowledge of job costing, and expense control. This position is responsible for working in a manner that produces timely and efficient output to meet customer demands. Efficiency through CNC programming, on time delivery, and quality output are very significant drivers for this position. The successful candidate must have the ability to program off-line, and trouble shoot machining and other operations to provide support for each of the processes employed by the machining departments.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Set-up, program and operate CNC vertical and horizontal machining center
- Build fixtures and select tools
- Responsible for the monitoring and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Production, ensuring prompt and on time delivery of quality parts in the most efficient and safest manner on an ongoing basis.
- Ability to complete projects for first piece PPAP approval
- Solidworks experience a plus
- Programming ability preferred
- Ability to interpret blueprints with geometric tolerance, and possess strong math skills
- A minimum of five years of experience as a machinist.
- Have self-control
- Be able to be part of a team to ensure motivation and collaboration of the personnel
- Able to analyze and effectively communicate the needs of his/her work section
- Computer skills: Word, Excel, data entry
- Follow all safety, health, environmental and company rules
- Be able to write in English
- Transport/move objects weighing up to 40 pounds
- Complete repetitive tasks
- Complete precision tasks
- Work with cutting tools accurately to avoid injuries
- Exposure to noisy environment
- High School diploma or GED required
- Medical, Dental and vision insurance
- Vacation per Company Policy
- Hourly pay rate with overtime after 40 hours each week.
- 9 paid Holidays
- This role is 100% on-site in Michigan, no remote option is available

- Pay is commensurate with experience
