The Carroll County Health Department CRF Tobacco Program proposes to hire a Community Health Educator Consultant whose specific job function is to provide smoking cessation and community health promotion.
This position is currently approved for Twenty Hours (20) Per week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00AM-4:30PM. The working schedule will be determined by the CCHD Contract Monitor and Consultant and may consist of weekend hours and occasional evening hours.
Position Details:Part time Outreach Worker Consultant
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Education or Health Science
Preferred Experience: Experience working in public health
Position Details and Preferred Requirements: * Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience as a Community Health Educator preferably in a public health environment.

- Consultant position(s) do not include State of Maryland employment benefits such as medical, dental, retirement and paid leave. Additionally, Consultant positions are responsible for payment of their own self-employment taxes.
- Candidate must possess current motor vehicle operator’s license and own vehicle.
- Pay rate for this position is $ 19.50 per Hour.
- Consultant Contract term is for 9 months; however, it may be extended longer based on satisfactory performance by the Consultant and needs of the program.
