Staff Accountant Full-time

Job Duty Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Accounting or related field with a minimum 2 years experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Reviews and analyzes financials for planning purposes and opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Continually finds ways to improve and automate our bookkeeping and data entry processes.
  • Makes recommendations for cost savings.
  • 2-5 years of Quickbooks experience.
  • Knowledge and general experience of general Accounts Payable processes.
  • Knowledge and general experience of general Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
  • Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Maintains the general ledger.
  • Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
  • Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
  • Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, credit card accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.
  • Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
  • Files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • Coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
  • Manages the purchasing and invoicing system.
  • Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Exemplify company culture and values.
  • Knowledge and experience in automotive repair and/or auto body and collision repair is a plus!
  • Valid UT driver's license.
Pay / Hours: We are considering qualified candidates for FT work. Your work hours will be between 8:00 am and 5 pm M-F. There can be some flexibility in determining your specific schedule. We assume a 40 hour work week. Pay will depend on overall experience $60k-$80k+/salary, Depending on Experience.
