Vendor Operations Manager, Operations And Reporting, Engineering Productivity

Minimum qualifications:
Our team is a central vendor operations team across Google. We partner with stakeholders across various Product Areas (PAs) and provide support including operations consulting, vendor management, operational reporting and analytics, drive cross-functional programs, and help operationalize Product’s insight in a compliant and scalable manner. The goal of this team is to increase productivity of our stakeholders and bring in economies of scale, efficiency, and operational diligence by deploying state of the art vendor operations.
As part of this team, you will oversee a vendor team to drive key operational programs and ensure delivery according to contract terms. Responsibilities will include managing key performance indicators (KPIs), financials, and determining workflow allocation for global projects involving vendor operations across multiple geographies, suppliers, and platforms.
As a Vendor Operations Manager, you'll support multiple PAs included in Engineering Productivity broadly. You will work closely with business teams to review workflow changes, perform forecasting and capacity planning, reporting, and helping teams and suppliers prepare accordingly.
You will be a trusted advisor and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g. vertical managers) to help transform their supplier engagements and drive operational efficiencies. You will also take a direct approach to develop and implement supplier programs, driving cost negotiations, managing supplier performance, and conducting follow ups to measure the impact of your recommendations.
Additional Information
(Colorado only*) Minimum full-time salary range between $139,000 - $150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
*Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation range for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.

Minimum qualifications:
- 8 years of experience managing vendor operations, designing and implementing contingent workforce management models, vendor strategy and governance, and business operations process improvements.
- Experience in vendor operations process design, mapping, requirements gathering, data reporting, and process re-engineering/implementation.
- Experience with operational processes in a technical environment driving vendor performance through process excellence.
- 8 years of experience managing regionally-distributed, horizontal-support vendor teams in a technical field.
- Experience with management for temporary and contingent workforce in the Quality Assurance testing field, including contracting, financial management, compliance, etc.
- Knowledge of SQL and data visualization tools.
- Exceptional analytical and structured problem solving ability using a data-driven approach with operational metrics.
- Clear communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
- Exceptional history of stakeholder management, relationship management, and project management.

- Manage a small team of extended workforce members to support Product Area Business As Usual (BAU) operations. Manage and update team dashboards and reporting requirements.
- Work closely with business teams to review vendor workflow changes and ongoing process improvements, perform forecasting and capacity planning, and help teams and suppliers prepare accordingly.
- Identify opportunities to transform and mature a Quality Assurance Testing engineering workflow through relevant performance metrics around quality, cost, and efficiencies. Identify process gaps, implement changes, and measure improvements to process frameworks.
- Develop scalable solutions, work to manage risks across the organization, and develop best practices.
- Drive vendor strategy and governance project (e.g., setting vendor policies and strategy, contract management, ensuring contract compliance, helping onboard vendors) and drive contract management (e.g., creation, negotiation, and compliance).
