IT Business Analyst

Position Summary:

The IT Applications Business Analyst is familiar with Information Technology and how it can be applied to solve organizational problems. Our ideal candidate has prior experience as a technology and business analyst, comprehensive knowledge of corporate IT systems and processes, and superb organizational and communication skills. Knowledge of C# development is a plus in order to provide team support of GIW and North American IT Applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain a GIW IT Disaster Recovery Plan

• Analyzing and preparing step-by-step processes for different disaster scenarios and durations

• Documentation for powerful visibility and analytics on disruptive events

• Manage and Optimize the Material Data Management (MDM) process

• Collaborate with key MDM users and identify current issues and solutions

• Project Leader for special projects

• Assist in maintaining IT Applications using programming skills in C#

• Knowledge of data warehouse and reporting “best practice” models and processes

• Develop standard ad hoc reports in Business Intelligence tools based on user requirements

• Support the IT Help Desk with Authorizations and Issues when necessary

• Develop documentation on solutions and for end users

• Ability to analyze data to get at the root cause of organizational problems and communicate findings

• Link metrics to business performance and collect and analyze data to identify trends and variances and perform root cause analysis

• Design or enhance management reporting (e.g., business reviews, scorecards, dashboards, customer summaries)

Experience:

• Basic knowledge of SAP Extraction, Transformation, and SAP ECC

• Experience in data analysis, warehousing and reporting such as Microsoft Power Query or SAP Business Objects

• Attention to detail and analytical skills

• Experience in the design, build and maintenance of C# code

• Strong critical thinking and root cause identification skills

• Strong organizational and communication abilities, including presentation skills

• Professional experience in business analysis or IT consultancy

Education:

Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

Physical Requirements:

• Primarily desk-type duty
