Recruiter/School Liaison Full-time

General description:

The Recruiter/School Liaison will be primarily responsible for managing full-cycle recruiting, hiring and placement of DVM students, student externs, and DVM candidates. The incumbent will attend on-campus student events, career fairs, host student and DVM hiring events, and maintain positive relationships with school career counselors and DVM candidates in the hiring pipeline.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists with student and DVM job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with Owners and Practice Managers and preparing and sending out Offer Letters and follow-up communications
  • Establish and maintain relationships with veterinary schools, create externship opportunities while creating a positive impression of Caring Hands Animal Hospital by maintaining a frequent presence at school events and activities
  • Attends and participates in Veterinary college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Ensure candidates receive communication from CHAH within the appropriate timelines in order to provide the best candidate experience

Job requirements

  • Must be willing to travel and frequently visit veterinary schools to foster and maintain relationship with students
  • Must be willing to work some nights and weekends

· Ability to stand, sit, bend and lift 15 pounds

· Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines

· Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, in particular)

· Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work

  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

· Self motivated, proactive, detail oriented, efficient, and accuracy of work

Education:

  • Bachelor?s degree required
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates who have had experience in Talent Acquisition and/or staffing and recruiting.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in full cycle recruitment, selection, and hiring a must

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
