Recruiter/School Liaison
at Caring Hands Animal Hospital Virginia in Virginia (Published at 26-08-2022)
General description:
The Recruiter/School Liaison will be primarily responsible for managing full-cycle recruiting, hiring and placement of DVM students, student externs, and DVM candidates. The incumbent will attend on-campus student events, career fairs, host student and DVM hiring events, and maintain positive relationships with school career counselors and DVM candidates in the hiring pipeline.
Essential Functions:
- Assists with student and DVM job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with Owners and Practice Managers and preparing and sending out Offer Letters and follow-up communications
- Establish and maintain relationships with veterinary schools, create externship opportunities while creating a positive impression of Caring Hands Animal Hospital by maintaining a frequent presence at school events and activities
- Attends and participates in Veterinary college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Ensure candidates receive communication from CHAH within the appropriate timelines in order to provide the best candidate experience
Job requirements
- Must be willing to travel and frequently visit veterinary schools to foster and maintain relationship with students
- Must be willing to work some nights and weekends
· Ability to stand, sit, bend and lift 15 pounds
· Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
· Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, in particular)
· Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
· Self motivated, proactive, detail oriented, efficient, and accuracy of work
Education:
- Bachelor?s degree required
- Strong preference will be given to candidates who have had experience in Talent Acquisition and/or staffing and recruiting.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in full cycle recruitment, selection, and hiring a must
