Development Associate Full-time

at Alivio Medical Center Illinois in Illinois (Published at 26-08-2022)

Reporting to the Grants and Foundation Relations Manager, the Development Associate - Grants will assist in increasing the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of foundation, corporate and government funders to support the operations of Alivio Medical Center. The successful candidate must have strong writing, editing and proofreading skills and ability to meet deadlines. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and multi-faceted environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist Grants and Foundation Relations Manager in a variety of projects including funding proposals for individuals, corporations, foundations, and other organizations; special capital campaign-related promotional materials;

· Assist with researching and identifying funding opportunities and matching them with Alivio?s mission and vision, including cultivating relationships with funder representatives

· Serve as lead on reaching the center?s target area demographic data, and development of appropriate charts and tables to illustrate impact to donors/funders

· Coordinate funder site visits, and assist with developing itineraries and preparing staff

· Stay up-to-date on relevant research and news on Foundation and Corporate philanthropy

· Provide Development Department and other fundraising support as requested.

· Maintain the organization's profiles on Guidestar, Charity Navigator and the Better Business Bureau.

· Maintain subscriptions and online accounts related to grants management, including Grants.gov, etc.

· Assist Manager to create and monitor an annual calendar of report deadlines as requested/required by funder, and inform other staff in a timely fashion to obtain needed input.

· Monitor deadlines and progress of requests and required submissions in Salsa Lab

· Monitoring changes to grant submission portals and procedures and ensure ongoing compliance with supporter requirements.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor?s Degree from an accredited institution required, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Two years experience in fundraising, highly desired
  • Experience with donor management software preferred (Results Plus, Raisers Edge)
  • Bilingual/Bicultural ? preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong Data analytical skill is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks, work under deadline, and work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
