West Metro Learning Connections ? Special Education Teacher

• Lead/teach students in LSLC program
• Provide contracted school services, including Evaluation Support (observations, protocol scoring, report writing, meeting attendance); IEP support (student observations, goal writing, meeting attendance, data collection, progress reviews); functional behavior evaluations; positive behavior supports
• Support daily WMLC functions and operations (as needed)
• Individualized program support (in-center) and/or specialized support (in-school)
• Provide student support: transportation issues, data collection for IEP goals and objectives, feedback sheets, incident reports, attendance weekly schedules, IEP progress reports, releases between districts, doctors, etc. and report cards/grading
• Assist with in-take process for new Lotus clients by being present at meetings, taking notes and giving tours as needed
• Read all due process paperwork (IEP, evaluations, etc.) for students. Keep a complete file of all district paperwork
• Collect district curricula for new students and disseminate to Lotus teachers. Assist teachers with modifications and adaptations for individual students to plan their daily curriculum. Assist with finding support curriculum, (visuals, apps, etc.) that support MN State Standards
• Create individualized client supports, and develop strategies, and create academic, behavioral and transition plans for LSLC students
• Provide substitute teacher services to schools
• Lead and/or assist social skills classes and conduct therapeutic recreation outings following prescribed curriculum and standard procedures

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)
