Director/Sr Director, Analytics Applications Engineering

Overview of Position

The Director of Analytics Application role is a leadership position with the skills and experience to build and lead strategic analytic product portfolio that significantly contributes to the overall success of Change Healthcare?s Platform and Analytics Solutions. They will lead a team of software engineers, architects and other leaders and provide in-depth engineering know-how, manage development, delivery, analytic innovation, solution design and execute with speed and quality to support the business and customer commitments while building the next set of leaders within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Analytics platform and product leaders, peer engineering teams, build the vision, strategy, and technical roadmap for the Analytics solutions to drive major impact to our business.
  • Design and develop highly scalable and resilient analytics platform and products and enable business intelligence, self-service analytics, predictive modeling and help significantly improve the user experience for Payers, Providers and Patients
  • Ensure industry best practices around data pipelines, metadata management, data quality, data governance and data privacy.
  • Develop solutions in cloud environment and stay current and leverage cloud native and open-source services
  • Ensure engineering designs are thoughtful and guided by high performance, high quality, scalability, security, following the strict healthcare policy compliance, with low cost.
  • Partner with Product Management and Business leaders to prioritize and drive Agile delivery of both existing and new offerings
  • Define and track key success metrics for the Analytics Applications

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or closely related software engineering field.
  • Excellent track record (8+ years) delivering analytics platform and big data solution products
  • Extensive hands-on experience (10+ years) in building software and analytics platform/solutions, able to translate business requirement into clean/logical design, strong skills in coding, design and code review, sprint management, DevOps; able to deliver under pressure.
  • Prior management experience (5+), able to lead by principles, and use their technical and people skills to help team members to perform, deliver, and grow.
  • Foster open, respectful, collaborative culture. Bias to action, customer obsessed, always willing to go extra miles to meet customers? needs.
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity and complexity to take calculated risks to solve problems, forge new paths for growth, and achieve challenging goals
  • A great collaborator who can work across operating styles and can bring together multiple perspectives, able to handle conflicts with best interests of company and customers in mind
  • Technical expertise in big data and cloud technologies. Experience in AWS deployment and services, Spark, Scala, Kafka, Kubernetes, Python, BI tools, machine learning and data science tools
  • Outstanding ability to collaborate, maintain effective relationship and partner with product, engineering peers, and senior leadership
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to distill and present with key takeaways to management and business partners.
  • Experience in operational, clinical, and financial healthcare or financial payment
