As an Employment Support Officer, you?ll be designed to help young people transition from school to work through the provision of a range of employment supports. The occupant of the role will work closely with our Life After School employment support team ensuring we provide meaningful, individualised capacity building activities so young people can achieve their employment goals and aspirations.
How you?ll make a difference
As an Employment Support Officer you would work directly and indirectly with our Life After School participants and will be helping in making autonomous decision within the parameters set.
- Liaising with external accreditation authorities, such as TAFE or apprenticeship bodies to support pathway development.
- Working with other team members to develop and implement training and employment pathways according to each customer?s individual needs
- Liaising with families, advocates and internal/external agencies as required.
- Developing and complying with all relevant work procedures and instructions.
- Conducting formalised training and assessment for Life After School participants.
- Complying with all relevant procedures and instructions to support and supervise customers with a disability

What we are looking for:
- Cert IV TAE qualification or working towards is desirable or extensive experience in a similar position.
- Advanced computer skills with experience in the following programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and Customer management systems.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to tailor communication styles to suit the audience.
- High level time management skills with an ability to prioritise.
- An ability to use initiative, identify focus learning areas, and use creative thinking to implement various strategies.
If successful through the recruitment process, we will need the below to have you start:
- National Police Clearance no older than 6 months or willing to obtain one
- Current Driver?s Licence
- Valid WWCC
- Nationally Accredited First Aid Certificate
- NDIS Workers Orientation Module or willing to obtain one
- NDIS Worker Screening check or willing to obtain one
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
