Production Lead

Position Summary
Assist in the direction, coordination, and supervision of operations to manufacture and assemble parts and products and maintain established schedules and perform daily production or manufacturing functions.Responsibilities
Support and adhere to Parker?s Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures and observe housekeeping guidelines. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Assist with the review of production schedules, work orders, and specifications, plan, lay out, and assign work, instruct, direct, and assist associates in department. Review defective parts, determine and assign rework or accumulate defective parts for review to determine serviceability. Obtain shortage list from Material Control Department, determine workload time frame in cells and commit to customer request date for each cell. Gather missing productivity and labor information for daily records as requested. Assist with maintaining various records and convey work assignments and schedules to succeeding shifts. Review cell information boards and update as required. Maintain applicable standards (welding, ISO, work instructions, serialization, certification) Perform daily production or manufacturing functions. Assist with the training of associates in the department. Present information in weekly value stream meetings, responds to questions and inform supervisor of outcome of meetings. Participate in daily production and MRB meetings, complete assigned tasks and follow up with supervisor as needed. Contribute to and participate in team and committee activity in order to promote continuous improvement, communication, and positive change within the organization. Update and communicate status of all cells to supervisor. Assist supervisor with assessing performance and recommending changes in associate status. Complete and maintain all necessary record keeping functions. Notify supervisor of unusual equipment or operating problems. Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. Work in other cells or departments as required.Qualifications

HS Diploma or equivalency. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, specifications, or technical procedures. Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions, short correspondence and memos, and write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers/supervisors or other associates of the organization. Ability to communicate information in one-on-one situations to associates, managers, and supervisors. Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, including decimals and fractions. Reference use of blueprints, set up sheets, part and product specifications, drawings, operation sheets, charts, and tables. Requires the ability to use adjustable measuring instruments, special gauges, and test equipment where interpretation is required. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Other Skills and Abilities: Requires the ability to perform production lead responsibilities approximately 25% and daily production or manufacturing duties 75% of the day. Requires the ability to learn and utilize the department software programs and train other associates in its use. Requires the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
