We are looking for a skilled and adaptable DevOps Engineer to support our $4.3 billion DOD Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) program in Vienna, VA, providing the modernization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) capabilities for the Department of Defense. Leidos, along with core partners Cerner, Accenture, and Henry Schein, will support the DHMSM Program Executive Office (PEO) and the Defense Health Agency in the global deployment of our proposed EHR system that will deliver improved system capability to the DoD whenever and wherever healthcare is required. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Primary responsibility to configure, deploy, and sustain Windows and Ubuntu servers within a VMWare hypervisor environment to include monthly patching and cyber-security mitigation

  • Secondary responsibility to configure, deploy, and sustain AWS EC2 RHEL servers within an AWS GovCloud hosting environment to include monthly patching and cyber-security mitigation.

  • Contribute to the design and use of automation and Infrastructure as Code (analyze, design, build, test, deploy, support) for large scale infrastructure implementations

  • Desire and proven ability to understand/learn new technologies

  • Support the integration of commercial products with custom applications to meet functional requirements while working within the constraints of the client?s IT and cyber infrastructure

  • Work independently and collaboratively with application development and integration teams, network teams, Tier III, and cybersecurity team members.

FACTORS FOR SUCCESS

  • BS Degree and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.

  • US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain ADP1/IT-I Public Trust. Federal Government requirement.

  • Experience performing System Administration within DOD hosting environments

  • Experience with DOD Cybersecurity remediation and patching

  • Primary hands-on, implementation experience with:

    • Windows Server 2016 & 2019

    • Windows IIS

    • Windows Patching using SCCM

    • VMware hypervisor

    • Powershell

    • Active Directory

    • Microsoft GPO administration

    • SQL server

  • Secondary hands-on, implementation experience with:

    • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) architecture design, deployment, migration, and sustainment

    • Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud hosting services

    • Linux (RHEL or Debian/Ubuntu)

    • Ansible

    • Scripting in the form of BASH/shell, Python, or Golang (Go)

    • HashiCorp (Packer, Terraform, Consul, Vault)

  • Experience in public, hybrid, and government cloud modeling.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Demonstrated self-starter and team contributor

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills

  • Agile team and methodology experience

Pay Range:

Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
