Responsibilities

  • Patient registration
  • Filing
  • Processing physician orders
  • Distribution of reports
  • Data entry on NSHiS
  • Typing correspondence and reports using medical terminology
  • Receipt and distribution of mail
  • Maintaining workload and statistical data
  • Other job related duties

Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • One year Secretarial or Business course
  • Medical Terminology Course
  • One (1) year experience in the clerical field
  • Proficient keyboarding skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in an area with frequent interruptions
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours of Work

  • Short Assignment, Part-Time (40%) Position; 28 Hours Bi-Weekly
  • For approximately 5 months

Salary Information

$20.09 - 21.90 Hourly
