Responsibilities: Technica Corporation is seeking to fill a Systems Administrator ll to support our DANS team in our San Antonio, TX location. What success looks like in this role:
  • Support and sustain Air Force Cyber Vulnerability Assessment / Hunter Weapon System.
  • Maintainssmooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.
  • Support and maintain organizational computer systems, desktops, and peripherals.
  • Install and configure computer systems and applications.
  • Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
  • Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
  • Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
  • Identify and diagnose problems and factors affecting network performance. Identify and determine corrective actions to be taken.
  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
  • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
  • Active TS/SCI Required
  • Bachelors' degree in IT relevant field and 2-4 years experience systems administration support in a DoD environment
  • Relevant professional experience within Systems Administration and functions of system documentation, accounts, software, hardware, computing resources.
  • Experience with Air Force network topologies / architecture / infrastructure
  • Familiarization with Air Force Cyber Weapon Systems
  • Knowledge of Air Force Cyber Protection Team construct
  • Experience monitoring and maintaining distributed computer systems
  • Experience working in a team environment utilizing role and rule based administration practices
  • Experience with a variety of software packages and applications
  • Experience with setting up and configuring systems user accounts with 2-factor authentication and other security implementations
  • Knowledge of ITIL
  • DoD 8140.01 Compliant: IAT II
