The Role at a Glance: This position will build and maintain strong business relationships with key sales clients to meet or exceed established sales goals, quotas, targets or objectives for their assigned area(s) of the Business Development Desk responsibility. This position initiates and/or follows up on more complex sales calls through inbound and outbound communications which result in an increase in sales revenue and market share within their assigned area of responsibility. What You'll Be Doing:
  • Develops and maintains a strong understanding of LFG's products, services and operational structure to enhance ability to identify and target sales growth opportunities for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Develops business on behalf of the Lincoln Financial Group (LFG) in a manner that supports a positive company image, in compliance with all required rules and regulations and ethical in all considerations.
  • Builds and maintains strong business relationships with key sales clients to meet or exceed established sales goals, quotas, targets or objectives for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Identifies and recommends to management process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure the proper processing of all sold products from time of sale to issuance.
  • Serves as a resource to internal/external stakeholders for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Receives more complex internal leads and contacts potential customers or receives contacts from customers generated by marketing activity.
  • Collects required more complex information from the customers they contact or who contact them that is necessary to create sales proposals.
  • Enters collected information into appropriate systems that identifies which products may be offered to customers based upon more complex information provided.
  • May compile documents for forwarding to appropriate stakeholders for underwriting or processing.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with internal/external stakeholders to achieve sales objectives.
  • Identifies, communicates and works with appropriate stakeholders to resolve any potential conflicts regarding Lincoln?s products/services.
  • Captures and maintains sales call data in appropriate systems and/or completes sales reports.
  • Meets or exceeds all department, and sales and/or activity goals for their assigned territory.
  • Partners with key. stakeholders to support the development of territory business plans designed to increase territory sales.
  • Plans and executes marketing solutions within assigned territory.
What We're Looking For:
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
  • 1 - 3+ Years of experience in financial services sales, marketing and/or relationship management that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
  • Series 6 - Upon Hire
  • Series 63 - Upon Hire (If required by State)
  • Resident State Life & Health License - Upon Hire
