JOB SUMMARY

Negotiate and structure larger and more complex permanent mortgage loans secured by income producing properties. Oversee the loan application from initial quote through closing.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

:Negotiate, structure and recommend approval of permanent mortgage loans secured by income producing properties. Prepare and present commercial real estate loan presentations to the Bank's Mortgage Committee. Communicate with brokers, attorneys and borrowers to facilitate loan transactions. Frequently performs property inspections. Interpret and review appraisals for quality, accuracy and content as it relates to the credit decision process. Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of real estate law covenants and adheres to all bank lending policies and procedures, recommending amendments as needed. Mentor underwriters in the proper valuation and loan underwriting process. Support Chief Lending Officer in meetings and discussions with bank regulators and auditors. Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required. Where applicable and when performing the responsibilities of the job, employees are accountable to maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and adhere to internal control policies and procedures.

Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree required with a major in Business Finance or Accounting preferred. Five to ten years CRE lending experience.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

:Knowledge of permanent mortgage finance/underwriting for income properties. Thorough understanding of more complex real estate structures such as leaseholds, condos, wraps and larger CRE credits. Strong negotiation skills and excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Strong ability to multitask and manage high volume work load accurately and effectively. Ability to travel to perform property inspections and meet with Borrowers/Brokers as needed.
