Field Service Technician (Workforce Camp/Housing Maintenance & Repair) Full-time

Black Diamond Group is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team in West Texas.

The role of Field Service Technician is dynamic and customer-facing. It is responsible for repairing and maintaining our workforce camp in Pecos, Texas as well as our rental fleet of modular buildings, which are dispersed across West Texas and New Mexico while following safety guidelines and providing first class service to our customers.

As the ideal candidate, you will have 2+ years of experience in repair and maintenance of modular buildings (also known as shacks, camps, housing, wellsites, command centres, sleepers, trailers, etc.). You will have excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills, and a passion for providing solutions to ensure our units are at the highest level of quality for our customers.

The work shift schedule is Monday-Friday, with the possibility of overtime and weekend work, with day trips out of town, and may have a rotational shift with weekend work, and on-call work as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Repair & Maintenance:

Perform installation, maintenance and repairs on our rental fleet and camp assets of modular buildings, following Black Diamond Group?s safety policies and procedures. Work will be performed in the yard/camp and in the field, including but not limited to:

· Install and dismantle of BD fleet at customer sites, including utility hook up and testing

· Perform maintenance and repairs to Black Diamond?s rental fleet including:

o Plumbing repairs and maintenance

o HVAC and heating repairs and maintenance

o Electrical repairs and maintenance

o Carpentry and finishing repairs

o Appliance installation

o Exterior steel siding work

o Fitting and installing windows, doors, moldings, and hardware

· Material handling, including loading/unloading of steps, decks, ramps, furniture, and other items

· Perform Yard/shop maintenance and clean up

Fleet & Logistics:

· Inspect and provide update on condition of fleet

· Adequately fill out fleet inspection forms as fleet is deployed to or returned from customer sites

· Respond to field service call outs for repairs or maintenance on short notice

· Adequately fill out field tickets for all site visits and obtain site contact approval

· Material and parts purchasing as needed

· Supervising vendors onsite to ensure scope of work and safety policies are being followed

· Track and maintain all tools assigned

· Drive and maintain work truck per company policies

· Complete administrative duties, using a computer to:

o Enter time for payroll

o Track equipment

o Enter data into MS Excel

o Track and manage inventory

o Use Outlook to respond to emails

· Complete all appropriate paperwork in a timely manner

· Follow all Black Diamond?s policies and procedures, including safety policies

· Other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

· 2-3 years of general building/modular unit maintenance experience (camp maintenance experience preferred)

· Knowledge of HVAC and or electrical is preferred

· Must have valid driver?s license and be able to provide a clean driver abstract

· Have valid H2S, CPR, Safe Land and PPE certifications

· Ability to pass pre-employment criminal records check and drug and alcohol test is required

· Participate in the NASAP Random Drug and Alcohol Program

· Must be able to work within a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, while manageable deadlines

· Collaborative team player as well as self-motivating

· Positive attitude and great work ethic with high attention to detail

· Must always act in a professional manner with customers or peers

· Willing to travel to various locations in the region

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to work in all weather conditions

· Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

· Must be able to complete physically demanding duties, including but not limited to standing for long periods, repetitive movement, and lifting

Working Conditions:

· Working outside in all weather conditions

· Frequent travel to company sites

· Weekend work

· Possible overtime and overnight travel
