Position Title: Senior Cost Analyst

The Senior Cost & Inventory Analyst is a key member of the accounting team, where Cost Accounting will be the primary focus. This position will be an individual contributor reporting to the Cost & Inventory Manager.

Core Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate execution of costing activities. These include but are not limited to:
  • ability to construct cost sheets/BOMs for production
  • annual standard cost setting
  • ability to resolve costing errors/issues
  • provide insight to changes in Inventory
  • perform relevant account reconciliations
  • participate in physical inventory counts/cycle counts
  • participate in annual audits

• Promote JPS culture by:
  • building trusted relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • promoting our DE&I values
  • foster, train and develop backups and be willing to cross train in other functional areas

• Adhere to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance at the highest level of integrity possible, acting when necessary

Key Requirements:

• BS/BA Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA/CMA preferred but not required
• 3-5 years' experience in similar role
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals especially various costing methodologies (Standard, ABC, Direct etc.), and regulatory issues
• Be able to diagnose problems quickly, analyze data, and have foresight into potential issues
• Travel as needed, up to 10%
