Accounting Specialist – Outsourced Bookkeeping & General Accounting Service Full-time

We are looking for an energetic, organized, and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to work with our Client Advisory Services team based out of our Dublin, Ohio office location with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.

The Accounting Specialist performs routine accounting activities such as payroll, general ledger posting, preparation of various accounting reports and financial statements, and accounts payable and receivable functions. The Accounting Specialist should be familiar with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures as well as posting journal entries.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out the internal bookkeeping function for clients such as entering or paying bills and invoicing from their software.
  • Managing back office bookkeeping for clients.
  • Preparing financial statements and providing general accounting practices to clients.
  • Preparing bank reconciliations, monthly and quarterly sales, use and CAT tax returns.
  • Assisting clients with accounting, expense reporting, and daily updates.
  • Understand clients? needs and is proactive in identify solutions.
  • Communicates issues identified to appropriate level.
  • Identifies missing client information (ex. missing bank statements).
  • Prepares financial statements and payroll reports.
  • Reconciles bank accounts and researches discrepancies
  • Prepares payroll taxes and related filings (ex. 1099), sales and other local taxes, CAT filings
  • Compiles raw data into trial balance format, including recapping cash receipts and disbursements
  • Research reference materials involving bookkeeping, payroll, and tax questions
  • Posting of routine journal entries

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Bill.com, Expensify, SOS Inventory software a plus.
  • QuickBooks, ProAdvisor Advanced Certification a plus.
  • Knowledge of general accounting concepts.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in Word and Excel required.

  • High School or better

Licenses & Certifications:
Preferred

  • QBooks Cert ProAdvisor
