Senior Program Manager, Organizational Development Full-time

You will lead and develop critical strategies and programs for Hussmann?s talent. You will act as a trusted thought partner and advisor to Hussmann?s leadership and HR organization. This role reports to the Director, Talent Management and partners with business leaders and HR Business Partners to proactively identify and respond to organizational issues and opportunities with solutions based on best practices in HR/OD. Using expertise and practices from Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology and related areas, this role will serve as a key partner to enable alignment and collaboration, and will implement improvements to talent management, succession planning, organizational development, performance management, leadership development, coaching, and engagement/culture initiatives.

  • Lead and continually evaluate, evolve and deploy the Hussmann Talent Review, Succession Planning, Performance Management, Employee Feedback and Goals Processes, ensuring a robust and effective process and framework for assessing talent and succession and facilitating alignment on talent gaps and supporting strategies/actions.
  • Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners to support the identification, assessment and development of talent in strategic business critical roles. Support the development and execution of succession plans for critical talent across the enterprise.
  • Manage and support individual talent management and development engagements that may include assessment, coaching, IDP development, career pathing and other specific interventions, as appropriate. Share and align feedback, outcomes and recommended actions/plans with business leaders and HR partners.
  • Support the facilitation of talent/performance review and calibration discussions with both small and large audiences. Shape and influence objective and data-driven assessment of talent and support the identification of best-approach development strategies and solutions.
  • Facilitate increased visibility, exploration and movement of high-potential talent across the enterprise to support business needs and increase internal talent mobility.
  • Build and maintain relationships, credibility and influence with key stakeholders, including business leaders and HR Business Partners
  • Administers leadership and employee assessments, such as personality inventories and 360 assessments, and research developmental assessments and best practices.
  • Identify, track and analyze key data and metrics to evaluate effectiveness of talent development strategies, solutions and interventions.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to the Organizational Development team.
  • Manage and leverage external vendor partnerships as appropriate
  • Maintain strong working knowledge and familiarity with talent management trends, best-practices, tools/resources and vendors. Conduct appropriate research and benchmarking and make recommendations for shifts in strategy, approach/methodology and tools, as necessary.
  • Required travel up to 10%

Required Experience

  • Bachelor?s degree in Organizational Development (OD), Human Resources (HR), I/O Psychology or other related fields. Master?s degree in HR, OD, or I/O Psychology preferred
  • Experience supporting strategic talent management and development processes/programs and designing custom solutions within a large, complex global manufacturing or service organization. Experience will include a combination of the following responsibilities: talent assessment, high-potential identification, coaching, development planning, competency management and talent review/succession planning.
  • Minimum of 7 years
  • Experience administering, interpreting and coaching global talent assessment and development tools, including psychometrics and 360-degree assessments. Certified to use a variety of OD tools.
  • Ability to navigate between tactical and strategic levels as needed to ensure program excellence.
  • The ability to systematically gather information from a variety of sources, analyze information, identify implications of data, draw conclusions, generate alternatives and solutions, and evaluate the consequences of choosing each alternative using quality metrics and data. This includes the ability to convert general data and findings into applied, specific information and suggestions that add value to business strategy and planning. Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and demonstrate agile thinking, behavior and decision making.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively.
  • Strong facilitation skills and executive presence with a senior leadership audience.
  • Strong working understanding of industry benchmarks, leading practices and innovations in talent management, as well as experience in practical and impactful application within an organization
