Elementary Afterschool/Enrichment Assistant Director
Program Description:
We are looking for experienced, reliable and dedicated youth workers to help support all functions of an Elementary Afterschool sites. Sites range from 20-100 students. Classrooms typically have 15-20 students supervised by two Program Leaders. Each site has a leadership team that consists of one Director and 1-2 ADs. Paid professional development and staff training are provided. Opportunities to continue employment into summer. Come join us!
Job Description & Duties:
Assistant Directors (ADs) are responsible for
- Work as a team with Site Director & other Assistant Site Directors to develop and oversee programming for elementary age children.
- Train, support, supervise and evaluate program staff
- Communicate with parents, school-day staff and the building principal as needed
- Assist with establishing and ensuring a safe and inclusive program environment
- Provide classroom and behavior management support and training
- ADs act as the main supervisor when the Director is off site.
- Assist with office work, program/activity scheduling, supply purchasing and site organization
- Train staff and implement MSCR best practices, and other duties as assigned

Work Location: Placement will be determined based upon program needs
- NORTH: Mendota, Lake View, Lindbergh, Sandburg
- SOUTH: Lincoln
- EAST: Allis, Emerson, Henderson, Hawthorne, Lowell, Nuestro Mundo, Schenk
- WEST: Anana, Midvale, Orchard Ridge
Hours/week: Up tp 18./5 hours per week
Work hours: Start times by site:
- Anana, Hawthorne, Henderson, Lowell, Mendota: Mon 12:30pm, Tue-Fri 2:00pm
- Allis, Emerson, Lincoln, Midvale, Nuestro Mundo, Schenk: Mon 1:15pm, Tue-Fri 2:45pm
- Orchard Ridge, Lindbergh: Mon 1:30pm, Tue-Fri 3pm
- Lake View, Sandburg: M 2pm, T-F 3:30pm
- Programs end between 5:30pm and 6pm.

Payrate: 16.00 - 16.00 /hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience working with youth
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Positive, professional and patient attitude
- Strong desire to make a positive impact in the community and be a youth role model
- Ability to arrive to work on-time for all scheduled shifts
- Attend scheduled staff training, meetings and professional development
- Reliable and responsive communication via email
- Willingness to learn new skills to support MSCR?s mission
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience training, supporting and supervising staff and/or volunteers
- Behavior management and classroom support experience
- Experience creating an inclusive environment
- Bilingual in Spanish or Hmong
- CPR certification
- First Aid training
