Senior BW4HANA Business Intelligence Developer

The Senior BW4HANA Business Intelligence Developer works as a member of the Data Delivery team and is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, modifying, testing, and implementing Business Intelligence/Business Warehouse (BI/BW) deliverables and supporting the production business intelligence platforms.
Applicants can expect to make between $95,000 to $140,000 upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for a target incentive bonus under our variable incentive plan.
This position is based out of Denver, CO but we do have a flexible work arrangement which, by way of example, an employee's work week may include both some days at the employee's assigned company work location and some work days performed remotely from the employee's home. The schedule of remote work will be based on business and work needs as determined by management. Currently, this position requires work at the Denver, CO and is not fully remote.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Design, build and execute data extracts and create objects and mappings from SAP ECC, TM, SRM, SCM, etc.
- Document data flows from extract to presentation layer
- Design, build and maintain process chains to load data
- Monitor production loads and conduct root cause analysis for all load failures
- Evaluate, interpret and understand Functional specifications for highly complex custom development
- Construct Technical Specification for a solution design which will meet or exceed the functional requirements as described in the Functional Specification
- Develop (build) the design as described in the Technical Specification
- Document and conduct unit and system testing as it pertains to new BI/BW development and maintenance
- Perform data quality analysis and data cleansing
- Provide input and recommendations for technical issues and process improvements
- Address business unit requests and clearly communicate commitments, issues, completion dates and status with the requestor and with management
- Design and implement security for global information delivery within SAP BI/BW / BW4HANA
- Perform peer code reviews of team member solutions
- Interact and communicate effectively with all technical and functional teams
- Provide technical consulting to internal customers and functional SME (subject matter experts)
- Analyze and tune system performance issues as they are encountered
- Must be available for on-call production support after hours on a rotating basis
What You Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of SAP Business Intelligence development experience with SAP NetWeaver 7.0 or higher (architecture and toolsets) in a n-tier, multi-system environment.
- Experience with SAP BW/4HANA / HANA Modeling, AMDP, HANA SQL, HANA Calculation and Attribute Views, oData Services, Virtual Data Models, HANA Data Provisioning and HANA security
- Technical and architectural understanding of SAP BW and SAP HANA based Datawarehouse solutions
- Design and development of data models in SAP BW / BW4HANA / BW on HANA encompassing extraction, transformation, loading to report build
- BW4HANA implementation experience
- Working knowledge of SAP ECC Modules, SCM/APO
- Enhancement of data sources in SAP ECC, SAP SCM, SAP SRM, SAP TM with custom ABAP
- Development of Custom Data sources using Function Modules/BADIs
- Designing, scheduling, monitoring of process chains
- Front end report development with SAP Query Designer, Analysis for Office and any other Front-end tools
- ABAP Programming experience developing custom programs for complex business requirements
- Production support monitoring data loads, troubleshooting ETL issues with on-call rotation
- Strong analytical and problem identification and resolution skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
