Position Summary

The Material Handler I may assist with the handling, loading and unloading of parts at manual weld, robotic welding and or press brake areas.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Commitment to workplace safety.
• Receive inbound inventory, place material into storage, pull inventory from storage to fill customer orders, and load material on trucks and trailers for outbound shipment.
• Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, cranes or other material handling equipment to move material to/from trucks or trailer and within the premises.
• Provide error-free work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.
• Work under direct supervision.
• Support the safety and quality programs by following all accompanying rules and established processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Shifts

• First 5:30AM-4:00PM Monday-Thursday
• Overtime schedule when applicable on Friday only 5:30AM-2:00PM

Skills and Qualifications

• Simple problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to operate forklift and cranes.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools such as: hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder, bander.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Has knowledge of commonly used practices, and procedures. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as box calipers, slide dial calipers and micrometers (preferred).
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
