The search is on for a Recruiter to help grow our company by finding exceptional individuals who will contribute to our contagious culture!

The Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent, but also make an impact on employee retention. The successful candidate will perform full-cycle recruiting across all levels. The Recruiter will be responsible for identifying the best sources to obtain talent while upholding Sethmar?s mission and values which will be critical to success. You will be accountable for the entire hiring process from prospecting, to interviewing, hiring and developing and training the new hires. You work closely with the HR Manager and hiring managers to define the scope of open positions and execute the recruitment strategy. This person must be a self-starter, an ambassador for the organization and enjoy networking to its fullest extent.

Responsibilities

· Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and customer service skills.

· Attention to detail, multi-tasking and organization is a must.

· Demonstrated knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, LinkedIn.

· Provide support and vision to the recruiting/hiring process.

· Maintain records on recruiting activities as required.

· Develop recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels.

· Responsible for sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates.

· Responsible for applicant testing, tracking, providing feedback and conducting reference checks.

· Ensure best-in-class hiring manager and candidate experience programs.

· Serve as a subject-matter expert, partnering with hiring managers to identify qualifications and appropriate recruiting methods.

· Research, register, plan and organize college and non-college career fairs near our four office locations.

· Coordinate and prepare presentations, collateral, travel, order promotional items and anything needed for onsite and virtual career fairs to attract diverse top talent.

· Opportunity to work both individually and as a team member to effectively recruit top talent while delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external clients.

· Proactively source talent to build a pipeline of both active and passive candidates.

· Gather updates from each department and create a monthly company newsletter to send out internally.

· Sense of urgency as well as the ability to work and excel in a fast-paced environment.

· Proven track record of managing a demanding workload, balancing multiple tasks and priorities, and switching gears seamlessly.

· Identify candidates to be considered for contract or employment openings through career fairs, Internet databases, recruiting firms, professional networking and newspaper advertising.

· Screen and refer qualified applicants to the hiring manager for interviewing.

· Schedule interviews.

· Provide information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.

· Company ambassador assisting with the recruiting efforts and development of our College Internship Program.

· Create, establish, and maintain a consistent, competitive, pool of candidates for hiring that need consideration at all times.

· Create and uphold a company anniversary program

· Foster relationships and correspond with job applicants to notify them of opportunities.

· Conduct reference and background checks.

· Stay current with the company?s training objectives and onboarding goals.

· Responsible for scheduling the training sessions, soliciting feedback and continuing to refine our training program.

· Create and implement a training program and materials to actively train new hires once they start.

· Develop, organize and facilitate training sessions for the new hires that will raise levels of competence, confidence and commitment internally and externally to our partners.

· Assess, design, develop, implement and evaluate training programs for the field sales force while leveraging appropriate internal and external resources.

· Recommend improvements and ways to streamline training sessions and methods.

· Create and schedule classes.

· Ensure all the right equipment and tools are needed upon the start of a new hire.

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Must be located in Kansas City and work in an office environment.
  • 2+ years of logistics industry experience.
  • 1+ year recruitment experience.

· In order to develop a training program and actively train new hires, this person must have industry knowledge.

· Remains positive and flexible in an ever-changing environment with shifting priorities.

  • Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, collaboration, and influencing skills
  • Aptitude to learn and proper use of different platforms.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be able to think quickly and manage high-volume situations.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to build strong cross-departmental relationships.
  • Ability to thrive under deadlines, drive results, multi-task and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
