Senior Revenue Manager, Accounting Full-time

Role

  • Manages revenue and accounts receivable, broker collections, carrier payments, and general ledger activities while maintaining a focus on details.
  • Partners with the key stakeholders to structure accounting policies in accordance with ASC 606. Research and maintain accounting guidance and prepare technical memos to document Company's position on revenue transactions (ASC 606) for contracts with Partners.
  • Works cross functionally and hands on with the Insurance and Tech teams to ensure the quote to cash process if properly functioning.
  • Be a subject matter expert for revenue and owner of contracts with partners and brokers.
  • Designs, implements, and documents processes and internal controls related to the revenue cycle.
  • Actively participates in the implementation and monitoring of internal controls and establishment of accounting procedures for revenue recognition and related processes.
  • Reviews account fluctuations, account reconciliations and other financial analyses as needed.
  • Collaborates with the IT and Business Systems teams to enhance system processes and controls. Ensure continuous improvement for our accounting systems environment.
  • Responsible for the support of various ad-hoc projects pertaining to revenue recognition, technical accounting and other topics.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation and Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and ledger systems
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in finance related roles and public accounting, previous Controller or Accounting Manager experience
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently work within fixed timeframes
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Experience with GoogleSuite, Quickbooks, NetSuite or a similar system preferred
  • Previous experience in Insurance or SaaS/FinTech preferred
