SAW OPERATOR

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to read, count, and accurately measure is required.
• Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods of time

Duties

• Operates a large manufacturing saw and makes sure parts are not overloaded or damaged when stacked.
• Measures and examines the extruded product to look for defects and ensures conformance to specifications
• Performs preventative maintenance and basic cleaning of the machine
• Operates cranes and forklifts to move materials
• Enters data to record machine rates, material usage and scrapped material.
