Bluegrass Orthopaedics i s hiring a full-time Front Desk Assistant for our Registration department in Morehead, Ky.
As a Front Desk Assistant (Receptionist) for Bluegrass Orthopaedics, you will be responsible for coordinating daily activities of our facility to ensure smooth operations. As a Front Desk Assistant your job duties will also include a variety of secretarial business aspects of patient care to include scheduling procedures and office appointments, reception, bookkeeping and other clerical support duties with emphasis on customer service. The Front Desk Assistant will report to the Registration Supervisor.
Bluegrass Orthopaedics has been serving Central and Southeastern Kentucky for over 25 years. We offer a variety of services for all areas of sports medicine, total joint care, industrial medicine and foot, ankle and hand care. We pride ourselves in treating athletes of all ages - from the youth sports athlete, to the weekend warrior, the industrial athlete, to the senior athlete
Job Requirements:

• Education requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience: Registration experience preferred
• Responsible for checking out patient once seen by the provider
• Responsible for scheduling tests and follow up appointments
• Responsible for educating patient on their next treatment step as provided by the provider
• Strong computer literacy, typing ability and knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong customer service skills
• Skill in communicating effectively with physicians and clients
• Electronic medical record experience preferred
