Job title: Fabrication Tech

Purpose:

The candidate will assist the machine department with 2nd operation work, cutting material for use in CNC machines, and mechanical assembly.

Manager: Production Supervisor

Department Interactions:

This person works with the machine department staff and may be expected to interact with other departments in the completion of their daily assignments.

Responsibilities:

All employees must:

· Adheres to best production practices and product quality standards.

· Adheres to all quality policies, procedures and objectives

· Adheres to all company policies and procedures

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Assist with machine shop operations.

· Assist with machine maintenance.

· Cutting/prepping raw material with band saw or metal working saw.

· Ability to operate machines such as Bridgeport Milling machine, drill press, or manual lathe.

· Ability to measure properly using micrometers and calipers.

Requirements:

The selected individual must possess a High School Diploma, clean driver license, and reliable transportation. Must be mechanically inclined with great attention to detail for a fast-paced environment with the ability to meet deadlines. Reading, writing, and basic math skills are required. Candidate must speak, read, and write in English.

1. Must be able to walk and stand throughout an eight-hour day.

2. Must be able to consistently lift 30 to 50 lbs. from a floor or table position to chest height.

3. Must be able to repetitively use arms, hands, and fingers in the manipulation of parts.

4. Must be able to differentiate between many products and parts which may appear similar.

5. Must be able to work with various personalities while maintaining cooperative working relationships.

6. Must be able to concentrate in a busy work environment and be detail oriented to maintain a high level of quality, keep accurate accounts of time and production, keep production on schedule and maintain a safe working environment.

7. Must demonstrate good hand /eye coordination.

8. Must be able to read blueprints.

9. Must be able to use basic hand tools.

The manufacturing plant is not air-conditioned. The environment is normal for a manufacturing facility.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
