As a Production Supervisor, you will lead and oversee one of Vacutech's Manufacturing Work Center and Department. This position is responsible for leading their team to optimize resources to maximize throughput of the entire organization, while meeting ship dates, customer service and quality standards.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for the safety, quality, and production of assigned area
• Lead team to attain organization production plan schedule
• Assign duties to employees, checking their activities at regular intervals to ensure quality work is being performed in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform common administrative functions required of personnel in a supervisory capacity; Endeavors to maintain employee morale, enthusiasm, and cooperation
• Monitor and manage employee time cards; Authorize wage allowances per Company policies
• Participate in weekly, monthly and annual planning process as appropriate
• Help in development, refinement, and maintenance of standard work
• Assist in controlling the Production Department's budget
• Participate in the Company's annual inventory count
• Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies
• Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years experience in a manufacturing industry
• Two years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Effective communication and project management skills required
• Knowledge of process improvement skills, preferred
• Proficiency with lean manufacturing tools and concepts, preferred
• Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift medium to heavy weight up to 75 lbs.
• May stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
• May stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull or do fine manipulations
