Facilities Maintenance Manager Full-time

Description:
  • Responsible for facility maintenance of all building owned and operated by BBRA.
  • Track expenditures and labor according to annual operating budget.
  • Works cooperatively with the water and waste water team.
  • Supervises facilities maintenance team including hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, disciplining and terminating.
  • Continuously monitors and provide updates on facilities maintenance needs throughout the property
  • Prepares operating and capital budgets and monitors expenditures.
  • Provides assessment of facility needs and cost estimates for annual capital expenditures.
  • Works with all departments to provide routine facility maintenance.
  • Completes annual safety inspections for all facilities including, fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems and elevator program.
  • Ensures safety of buildings and grounds including ice removal and other hazards.
  • Works with vendors to supply facility maintenance goods and services, including trash and recycling and propane supplies.

Non-Essential Functions of the Job

  • Ensures compliance with county building codes.
  • Competent skiing ability to access area for maintenance preferred.
  • Arranges for garbage disposal.
  • Constructs and remodels buildings as necessary.
  • Promotes safety by following safe practices and reporting any unsafe conditions or situations while on premise.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
. Requirements:
  • Variety of experience in facility maintenance to include; plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and minor electrical.
  • Basic grounds keeping and landscape knowledge to include lawn and sprinkler systems.
  • Able to provide assessment of facility maintenance needs and basic cost estimating for projects.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Able to follow and develop both annual labor and expense budgets as well as capital project budgets.
  • Experienced leader able to supervise a team in order to complete routine maintenance as well as projects of varying size and scope.
  • Employee is frequently required to stand, balance, walk and reach with hands and arms.
  • Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to perform essential duties efficiently and accurately, with or without reasonable accommodations and without injury to incumbent or others.
  • Maintain a professional attitude toward guests and staff.

Environment

  • Both indoors and outdoors.
  • Position will be exposed to inclement weather.
  • May be exposed to smoke, dust, fumes and odors.
  • Vibration and noise are present in the work environment.

Schedule

  • Schedule will vary based on the needs of the department and operating hours.

Personal Appearance

In addition to the uniform you are issued, you will be required to provide:

  • Waterproof Pac boots in good repair
  • Thermal wear, sufficient clothing for warmth
  • Waterproof jacket, pants, gloves
  • Ski/Snowboard equipment
