MANAGER OF ADULT & SPECIAL POPULATION SERVICES

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WORK
Reporting to the Managing Director of Family Services and the President/Chief Executive Officer, the Manager of Adult & Special Population Services will play a critical role in helping LCCC achieve its vision to provide high quality programs and services for adults and special populations. The Manager of Adult & Special Population Services will be responsible for a variety of significant activities including workforce development training, financial literacy and general adult education programming primarily for low-income and disadvantaged adults.

S/he will be instrumental in ensuring consistent and effective internal management processes and communications in order to strengthen LCCC?s programs and position the organization for continued growth and success. In addition, this Manager will:

  • as a senior management team member, support and assist the Quality Assurance Committee;
  • design and implement an operational plan that strengthens the organization's program delivery system;
  • develop key external alliances by cultivating individual and organizational support;
  • establish customer-friendly protocols and processes that encourages and supports successful outcomes for adult participants;
  • work closely with other team members to secure funding for current or new initiatives;

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the program operations and day-to-day leadership of LCCC?s adult services program;
  • Coach assigned staff, students and community volunteers and provide them with management guidance, strategies for growth, and operational assistance;
  • Conduct yearly performance evaluations of team members, and implement the appropriate professional development tools and training to maximize operational effectiveness and to ensure the achievement of team member goals and performance benchmarks;
  • Help build strategic partnerships with individuals, organizations and businesses who have like interest and needs;
  • Supervise program planning and development, and provide clarity around roles, motivate program coordinators and service workers, and facilitate effective team dynamics
  • Support the senior leadership team and other staff members to make consistent and progressive steps toward organizational and programmatic consistency and sustainability;
  • Enhance program excellence by establishing operational benchmarks, timelines, and resources needed to achieve program goals, proactively recommending and driving improvements as necessary; set standards for accountability and measurements of success;
  • Manage LCCC?s program evaluation activities including data collection systems, longitudinal evaluation, and all contracts and activities relating to program evaluation and measurement;
  • Manage employment opportunity postings and pre-screening of applicants for agency job positions.
  • Communicate and prepare all data collection summary reports and evaluation updates for the Managing Director, CEO and the Quality Assurance Committee;

QUALIFICATIONS
This is a unique opportunity for an individual with significant program development experience to manage and further develop a program service delivery system that meets the developmental needs and aspirations of adults. The successful candidate will partner as a crucial member of a high-performance management team that is passionately driven to help individuals and families succeed.

Specific requirements include:

  • Minimum of Bachelor?s degree required with at least five (5) years of professional experience in a nonprofit organization;
  • Demonstrated success in a program development function (implementing programs and services with multiple adult populations);
  • Tangible experience of having delivered high-quality services to adults over time;
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and engage a wide range of adults and build long- and short-term relationships;
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Flexible and adaptable style; a individual who can positively impact both strategic and tactical program initiatives
  • Ability to work both independently without close oversight, but also a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside LCCC;
  • High energy and passion for LCCC?s mission is essential;
  • Ability to construct, articulate, and implement annual strategic program development plan;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail;
  • Customer focus;
  • A professional and resourceful style; the ability to work independently and as a team player, to take initiative, and to manage multiple tasks and projects at a time

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be bondable.
  • Must possess a valid driver?s license and be willing to use personal vehicle for work related tasks and drive agency vehicles.
  • Must be willing to work nights and unusual hours and travel out of town when necessary.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to work in a multi-tasked leadership position at least five days per week, as scheduled.
  • No record of child abuse or neglect, sexual offenses or other offenses that would be harmful to children or the agency.

Pay: From $35,000.00 per year

Staff and clients must wear mask upon entering the building. Hand hygiene and social distancing is encouraged and practiced. Staff are required to be vaccinated or provide proof of COVID-19 testing weekly.
