Coordinator, Missionary Discipleship

Come join our team and put your faith to work! We are searching for candidates for the role of Coordinator, Missionary Discipleship. You are a good candidate if you feel called to prepare leaders across the Archdiocese as they discern, prepare and engage in mission. As a member of the Office of Family, Youth and Young Adult Ministry, this position is trusted with accompanying and equipping lay, lay ecclesial and clerical leaders as they identify and join God?s Spirit at work in the Archdiocese. Serving across the spectrum of parishes, schools and communities the Coordinator disciples individuals and ministry leaders in their personal and spiritual development across life stages to enact their gifts and live out their particular vocation in their singular mission field.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitate the formation of Archdiocesan leaders around contemporary approaches to mission
- Collaborate with the Office of Parish Renewal to adopt strategies for the evangelization of different communities
- Spiritually and pastorally guide those engaged with mission as they grow in their own calling and charisms
- Construct and oversee teams of leaders as they prepare for, execute on and follow up from events that lead from and to mission
- Assist the Director in the creation and implementation of projects to empower parish and diocesan leadership towards a culture of mission
Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Practicing Roman Catholic committed to the mission of the church and able to participate in all the sacraments therein
- College Degree (Master?s Degree preferred) in church ministry, theology, social sciences, pastoral ministry preferred
- Spanish preferred
- Five years experience in a mission-centered apostolate or Catholic parish or school
- Familiarity with Archdiocesan administrative structures and the mission of the Catholic Church
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in coaching, leadership development, and/or organizational management is preferred
