Winery Retail Manager

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Retail Manager at Crown Valley Winery. The ideal candidate will be a motivator, an energizer, and lead by example. The Retail Manager provides proactive leadership in all aspects of winery operations to develop a team that provides great customer service in a fun and fast paced environment. They will work to create a memorable guest experience for every customer by successfully overseeing and implementing all aspects of winery operations: sales, customer service, training and development, inventory accuracy, staff scheduling, cash reconciliation and all other duties required for daily business operations.
This is a full-time position that would be a 10 hour day shift Thursdays thru Sundays.
- Work on the floor during open business hours to assist customers in all capacities
- Oversee the day-to-day tasting room/retail operations, guest experience, winery events, and merchandising
- Responsible for hiring of all winery staff and scheduling
- Build, train, and motivate the team
- Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of retail, tasting room and all surrounding areas including the outdoor patios
- Responsible for all weekly ordering and stocking
- Conduct inventory/reporting as required by upper management
- Responsible for weekly sales reporting
- Strategize and plan to promote sales of wine and merchandise to develop sales and achieve sales goals
- Work with the Sales & Marketing Director regarding pricing, promotions, and new releases
- Represent winery at outside functions as needed
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Any other tasks assigned by management
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Courteous, friendly, confident, and professional demeanor; strong social skills
- Strong organizational skills are essential; must be able to plan, follow up, strategize, and execute goals as well as create and implement systems for productivity, scheduling, etc
- The ability to manage, train, coach and redirect people in the moment
- Strong problem solving skills including flexibility and adaptability to changing or unforeseen circumstances
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and POS systems
- Able to create, post, and promote content and events on Facebook and Instagram
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- A strong level of organizational skills

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to bend, squat, climb, push, stoop and crouch repeatedly
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis
