Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the preparation of work plans for assigned Projects. Items will include work orders, schedule requirements, plan consolidation, subcontracts, purchase orders, and field measurements.
  • Attends Project related meetings. Pre-construction, progress, etc. Will assist in the preparation of action items and partner in providing possible solutions to items of concern.
  • Provides support to the Project Manager, Project Superintendent and Contract Administrator in preparing Project documents and materials.
  • Analyzes processes. Assists with layout, construction sequencing, and cost analysis. Will measure and confirm installed quantities as needed.
  • Supports crew personnel. Clarifies specifications and contractual obligations as necessary.
  • Manages Project related documentation. SCDHEC weekly inspections, SCDOT traffic control inspections, etc. and schedules the appropriate courses of action to remedy noted deficiencies.
  • Ensures proper document control and that construction project records are kept in accordance with expectations.
  • Assist in monitoring the project site, ensuring that the work is progressing safely and according to plan.
  • Develops solid working relationships with all project personnel
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Able to read and comprehend contract documents and construction plans
  • Solid general math skills with the ability to do field calculations
  • MS Office experience preferred
  • Solid oral and written communications capabilities
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • High level of motivation, a self starter
  • Ability to act in a safe manner at all times

Work Environment:

This position consistently works in an environment with a heavy focus on environmental, health and safety (EHS). Strict compliance with company safety policies, rules, and regulations is a top priority.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, move about, and drive. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme heat.
