Marketing Communications Manager Full-time

The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for managing the content strategy and communication to key Domtar Pulp & Paper customers and stakeholders through various channels. This person must possess excellent writing skills and expertise in a variety of media formats to provide content leadership to cross-functional units. This person will build digital, content and communications strategies and develop and disseminate content for a wide variety of materials. This person will:

  • Develop, establish and maintain marketing, branding and content strategies to meet organizational objectives.
  • Support the development and execution of Domtar?s business strategy through the creation and distribution of internal and external communications.
  • Plan and deploy the execution of content both onside and offsite to drive traffic, build awareness and generate qualified leads, increase mentions, post and page shares and overall Domtar Pulp & Paper share of voice.
  • Execute online and offline marketing initiatives, integrating online and new media, email, print, direct mail, social media, company websites, SEO strategy development, brand awareness and drip marketing initiatives. The ability to speak to how these channels work together along with the ROI and value to Domtar is important.
  • Establish effective working relationships with business leadership to ensure that our products and services are implemented through sales enablement and marketing demand generation programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Marketing: Develop content and communications strategies to drive engagement, loyalty and preference for Domtar products. Create compelling marketing campaigns to produce results and drive demand. Create content for marketing collateral, website/blog/social media and other initiatives. Articulate product and service offerings, key benefits and messages for use by sales and marketing.
  • Lead Generation and Sales Enablement: Create sales-ready tools including market-facing presentation content to be used by Sales to highlight benefits of our products and services. Create and execute effective and compelling marketing campaigns and analyze performance. Stay abreast of market trends to drive content and campaigns for customer acquisition, retention and loyalty.
  • Communications: Develop and execute the email marketing communication strategy and key benchmarks specific to each channels? goals and objectives. Deliver key communications internally and externally.
  • Project Management: Responsible for all aspects of projects, including meeting deadlines, time management, contingency planning, approvals and processes, budgeting, analysis/ROI, and tracking and monitoring.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with various groups across Domtar?s Pulp and Paper commercial businesses and share potential projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional marketing, digital and communications experience.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with successful results.
  • Experience with salesforce or similar CRM, Webdam, Workfront, Drupal, Wordpress, Office Applications.
  • E-commerce, retail marketing or digital content strategy experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Skilled in direct response marketing with ability to craft integrated marketing strategies across all channels and touch points.
  • Fundamental understanding of paper and paper attributes
  • Degree in marketing, communications, business administration
