Assistant Program Manager Full-time

The Assistant Program Manager performs daily operations for programmatic, supervisory, budgetary, administrative, and clerical duties. Provides high quality administrative service functions and duties including supporting the SCB UGA advisors and providing quality customer service to any and all office visitors. Type of Recruitment Knowledge, skills and abilities Demonstrated knowledge of effective customer service and problem resolution techniques. Demonstrated knowledge of effective analytical research techniques. Demonstrated working knowledge of information systems such as Banner or a similar program and other PC-related software such as Microsoft Office products used to prepare correspondence, manipulate data, and create reports. Demonstrated effective and exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated public speaking skills. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, make workflow decisions and manage a large volume of work independently. Demonstrated ability to interpret and explain complex regulations orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to perform in a professional manner in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in a complex processing and intensive public contact environment. Special licenses, registration or certification None Education or training None Level and type of experience Considerable experience providing customer service and administrative support in a student-focused environment. Preferred knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification Demonstrated knowledge of SCB undergraduate business programs. Knowledge of ODU and SCB enrollment management policies, procedures and practices. Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent combination of post-secondary coursework or on-the-job training in computer software and office management. Experience working with departmental budgets. Experience working in a college or university office setting. Experience using and implementing modern technology (i.e. podcasting) in a professional setting. Experience supervising others. Conditions of Employment In accordance with Executive Directive #18 issued by Governor Ralph Northam effective September 1, 2021, all Old Dominion University employees who enter the workplace or work remotely must disclose their vaccine status to the designated university personnel.
