Responsibilities
This position requires a VMWare system administration and Windows system administration background in support of the IRS MIDS contract and will handle a variety of VMWare and Windows Admin responsibilities which include: configuring, monitoring, and maintaining the VMware and Windows environment. This position is responsible for ensuring that all servers operate at optimum levels. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be comfortable working in a team environment and willing to work flexible hours. On-call and after hours support is a requirement of this position.
Mandatory Skills: VMware vCenter, Windows Admin Windows and AD Admin, VMware Admin, Citrix Admin, Infra Performance and Optimization, Windows Admin
Desirable Skills: Datacenter Architecting - Wintel Stack
Education and Experience Required:
5+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (8+ years in total). 6 years minimum as a Windows Admin

Knowledge and Skills Required:
Colorado Salary Minimum: $61,339.20
Colorado Salary Maximum: $131,144.00

- Handling Data Center Operations with Business & Mission Critical applications
- Handling escalated incidents or high critical tickets
- Predicting Risk/Impact and Participating in Major Changes
- Reporting & Performance Dashboards with Capacity Planning
- Technical Team (5-10 members) & Vendor Management
- Technical Transition & Documentation skills
- Design, Migration and upgrading of existing infrastructure

- Has sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to be individually responsible for the design and scope of deliverables within a field of expertise. Has led small team in delivery of a specific deliverable.
- Has mastered at least one technical discipline with strong knowledge in at least three major technology areas. Possesses advanced level of business, technical, or functional knowledge.
- Has ability to perform/drive resolution of problems on combinations and interactions of products. Ability to apply technology and consulting to solve a client business problem.
- Able to communicate and present complex issues with assurance and confidence. Demonstrates the use of consulting skills including: questioning, listening, ideas development, permission and rapport, and influencing.
- Ability to conduct/lead oral status/technical interchange meetings with clients on small to medium sized engagements.
- Owns and produces customer documentation. Ability to translate technical details into concise and easy to understand written form. Ability to write relevant components of a proposal document (e.g. answer specific RFP questions). Ability to translate verbal requirements face to face client meetings into requirements documents, statements of work, and proposals.
- Able to discuss (within own area of expertise) requirements with a customer, and to challenge and clarify when appropriate. From the requirements: able to develop a high level design or plan, and then estimate the amount of effort required to deliver. Able to advise the engagement owner about the risks associated with this work package.
- Ability to work with a team to provide written responses to technical proposals and/or reports documentation for delivery.

- Troubleshooting the incidents & problems reported on the servers
- Provide the root cause analysis on the major incidents/problems
- To carry out the scheduled activities like Daily Checklists, Server reboot,
- Monitoring of logs and alerts
- Patch management and Antivirus management
- H/W Troubleshooting & Vendor coordination
- Firmware & BIOS Upgrade
- Understanding of capacity planning, performance monitoring & tuning
- Should have scripting knowledge for scripted installs, comfortable with using Virtual Center.
- Familiarity to Linux environment
- Strong knowledge on Storage & Networking concepts
- Contribute to internal knowledge management system
- Knowledge on any monitoring tools like SNOW, VROPS, VRO , HPE One
