ORR Safety/Northern Safety & Industrial (NSI), is looking for a talented hard-working Onsite Service Technician to join our team at our Louisville, KY location.

OVERVIEW

The Onsite Service Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of ORR owned rental equipment and customer owned equipment; safety equipment may include SCBA?s, Level A Suits, Portable Gas Detection, Emergency Eyewash & Showers, Fire Extinguishers, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for the following;

· Perform monthly inspections & maintenance on fire extinguishers

· Functional testing of Scott, MSA, and Honeywell (Survivair) SCBA?s

· Perform inspections on emergency shower & eyewash stations

· Maintain demo and rental equipment

· Enter service orders into the order entry system and prepare equipment for shipment

· Use computerized equipment and software to perform testing functions and coordinate paperwork

· Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair customer personnel air monitoring equipment

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

· Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize work effectively

· Possess problem solving skills and have excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

· Must be results-orientated and highly productive

· Possess the ability to follow good documentation practices and adapt to changing schedules

· Relative proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel

· Previous certification from manufacturers is preferred, however, on-the-job training and vendor training will be provided

· This position may require the use of company vehicle, an acceptable driving record is required
