ContiTech, a division of Continental, is one of the world?s leading suppliers of technical elastomer products and is a specialist in plastics technology. ContiTech develops and produces functional parts, components, and systems for machine and plant engineering, mining, the automotive industry, and other important industries. Our Fairlawn, OH location is seeking a Sales Development Manager ? USA to join our team.

THE POSITION
  • This position is accountable for developing and hunting new business for all Continental Industrial business units in the United States. Primary Sales target will be OEM customers. This person will work and report directly to the VP ? Sales.
  • Develop OEM business across the country on ALL products.
  • Hunt new business at large end users for all Continental Industrial product lines.
  • Provide feedback to Sales leadership regarding business opportunities, sales and marketing strategies that help leverage the Continental brand.
  • Achieve annual revenue targets set forth by VP ? Sales.
  • Employ an in-depth knowledge of the company?s products and services to effectively sell and market benefits and value to customer and end user.
  • Apply consultative and strategic selling skills, as well as technical expertise, to develop new business for Continental.
  • Keep immediate Sales supervisor informed to status and progress of all projects.
  • Job Location: Flexible, preference is northern Ohio.

Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor?s Degree in business, engineering, or related field experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years proven track record in strategic field sales is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Confident and resourceful, function with minimal supervision.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex sales engagements.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% to various locations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong executive presentation skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
  • Strong and proven problem-solving skills and abilities.
  • Ability to handle complex accounts.
  • Self-starter with ability to build executive relationships, articulate Continental?s product, and business strategies, create demand and closing deals.
  • Industrial products technical knowledge.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • A technical acumen is preferred.
  • 5-7 years proven track record in strategic field sales preferred.
