We have an exciting full time opportunity available in our billing department! As a Certified Coder the successful candidate will be responsible for seeing that rejected patient claims are resubmitted and paid in a timely manner. Other position functions include the following: Assist in answering billing department phone calls (internal and external) Receive credit card payments Work to resolve rejected patient claims Complete proper reports/forms necessary for the appeal process Research and resolve insurance company "takeback" claims Coding of OP notes and office charges possible Qualifications Required: CPC certification or similar qualification Medical billing experience EPIC experience Knowledge of CPT codes and medical terminology for diagnosis codes Knowledge of how insurance companies work Customer service experience
