Position Description
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at The University of Mississippi is seeking applications for a 9-month, tenure-track, assistant professor position as determined by research/scholarly publication records, research grant procurement, and academic achievement. Qualified applicants will have a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders with emphasis in voice sciences and disorders or dysphagia by the time of employment. Evidence of a strong research agenda and potential for securing competitive, extramural research funding is preferred. The individual must either possess the Clinical Competency Certification in Speech-Language-Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American SpeechLanguage-Hearing Association or should be eligible to receive the certification within 3 years of employment. Responsibilities can begin as soon as the Spring of 2022 and include research, teaching, and service. The hired individual will have an opportunity to direct a research laboratory in his/her area of expertise. In addition, the University of Mississippi initiated Flagship Constellations, which are designed to bring together a wide range of faculty from across campus to address some of the most difficult and complex problems facing our nation and world. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cross-disciplinary researchers to solve key, grand challenges.
