Alaska Billing Services is an Anchorage based medical billing company serving all of Alaska for over 30 years.

IT Coordinator

The IT Coordinator performs functions for all ABS employees and clients and is considered the front liner to solve basic technical problems and provide support for all assigned areas.

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with department manager to accomplish department goals
  • Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
  • Diagnosis and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Install applications and programs
  • Track computer system issues through to resolution within agreed time limits
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to employees and clients
  • Refer to external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
  • Follow up with employees and clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
  • Files electronic claims and statements
  • Confirms successful receipt of claims
  • Maintains and updates setup files within billing software

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as an IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Windows OS environments and Microsoft Office applications
  • Good understanding of computer systems and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications
  • Excellent problem-solving and communications skills
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal

Job Details & Benefits

Job Location: Anchorage, AK 99503

Starting Salary: $13.00 - $16.50 Depending on experience

Hours/Week: 40 hours per week (8:30 am ? 5:00 p) M-F *flexible
