Donor Door Greeter (Orange Grove) Full-time

Department: Goodwill Retail Team Leader: Assistant Team Leader (ATL)

Status: Non-Exempt


To ensure the efficient and cost effective operation of the DGR through security of corporate assets, customer relations, sale of donated goods, accurate cash register operations in order to maximize profitability and increase training opportunities.


Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader Coach and ATL is responsible for customer service, facility

security and maintenance, greeting and assisting donors, breakdown of donations and the maintenance of

accurate donor records


1. Ensures world class customer service.

2. Greets donors in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner within 10 seconds;

3. Unloads donations from vehicles, offer tax receipts

4. Responsible for the stewardship of all donated items ensuring that donations remain property of GSM, and that donations are not used in a personal nature as they are guided through the Goodwill chain.

5. Breaks-down donations into categories.

6. Maintains drive-through and work area in a clean and organized manner.

7. Transports trash to compactor/dumpster and operate compactor as needed.

8. Ensures proper accuracy of donor tracking and counts.

9. Ensures proper use and accurately reporting of on-hand equipment.

10. Adheres to all DGR and personnel policies and procedures; follow good safety and security practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to ATL and/or TLC

11. Works in a safe manner, adheres to proper handling of material movement equipment and communicates any safety hazards or concerns.

12. Responsible for performing assigned duties within the framework of our Guiding Principles:

· We are committed to a clean, neat, and organized store. The image of the store reflects Goodwill, the manager/TLC, and the team.

· Donors should be greeted in 10 seconds.

· We are committed to a full store with full inventory.

· Every time we touch a donation, something good should happen to it.

· All donations should be processed within 24 hours.

· If you have a pile, you have a problem.

· Hard goods should be priority processed.

· Material handling equipment is for moving donations, not storage.

· Don?t fall in love with your donations? rotation is critical to success.

· Donor Value should increase.

· Profits should increase.

13. May be asked to participate in activities outside of Goodwill.

14. Attends in-service and related training as assigned.

15. Performs other duties as assigned


  • Read, write and communicate verbally and perform basic math skills.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationship with team leader, team members,

· customers and donors.

  • Ability to work within a team situation.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.

  • Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Must have reliable transportation


  • Able to stand, bend and reach.
  • Able to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move up to forty (40) pounds with no support regularly.
  • Over forty (40) pounds request for additional team member assistance as needed.
  • Able to perform tasks that require repetitive motion. Manual dexterity is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour


  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
