The Role

Lumen is seeking early-career or second-career self-starters who are self-motivated with high technical aptitude and an interest in a Network and Telecomm Customer Support role. You will participate in our Ops Academy which is a robust 6-week training program to jump-start and enable your success in this role. This rigorous program is designed to develop tech-savvy individuals in the areas of network operations, IP, and customer care where you will learn about our technology, networks, products, processes, and customer service best practices. Associate Planning Engineer is an entry level position within the North America Operations organization. Help drive profitable revenue by proactively identifying capacity risks and possible resolutions. Leverages a range of internal data bases to build reports and tools to streamline and automate the capacity planning process.

The Main Responsibilities

• Analyzes business plans of lesser complexity.
• Performs analysis to determine present and future group/division/department performance.
• Responsible for understanding source data structures and models, producing raw data, data mining, data compilation, completing a variety of analyses (many times using disparate data sources), and creating effective presentations to answer questions posed by the business.
• Works with other team members and subject matter experts to resolve questions.
• Responsible for conducting or assisting in the documentation of simple to moderate business analysis projects under direct supervision.
• Project management responsibilities including, but not limited to, providing status, driving vendors, and managing both internal and external escalations.
• Performs within team SLAs and enable the team and business for success.

What We Look For in a Candidate

• Bachelor?s degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics or related field
• 1 year of relevant job experience in similar industry or with similar essential duties
• Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.
• Strong and proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Some understanding of a particular technology discipline and is proactive in seeking out learning opportunities
• Good business acumen.

• Exceptional ability to develop successful relationships in a professional, diligent and courteous manner.
• Conduct detailed data analysis and develops reports
• Microsoft Office suite (Excel with Analysis Toolpack functions, pivot and chart wizards; PowerPoint; Word) and other reporting and data analysis tools (PowerBI, Tableau) preferred.
• Must be able to create and use Excel formulas to work with the data.
• Work as a team player within the department and across other Lumen organizations.

Salary Min $45540 Salary Max $101280
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
